Moose Hunt - Guided
Only
The
moose hunts begin September 1st and end September 25th.
The first week, bulls may still be in velvet. Bulls taken
the last week of the season may be in the "rut".
These are 9 day hunts.
Caribou
Hunt - Guided
or Unguided
These
Hunts begin in August, and run into October. Trophies
would still be in the velvet in August and normally shed
the velvet about the first week of September. Bulls taken
in the third week of September or later may be in "rut".
These are 6 day hunts. Very high success rate of the Mulchatna
caribou herd
Brown/Grizzly
Bear Hunt - Guided Only
These
hunts begin late April/early May. The spring weather conditions
can vary greatly from warm and sunny to cold and snowy.
Snowshoes are sometimes used for a portion of this hunt.
These are 10 day hunts.
Fall Hunts
- These hunts begin
in late September. Our area has a good population of brown/grizzly
bear, with our
season ending by mid October. This is a 10 day hunt
.
Black
Bear Hunt
This
is an add on hunt. A great combination hunt
with caribou or
moose.
Our hunters
have taken numerous trophies that can qualify for entry
into Boone
& Crockett and/or Safari
Club International record books.
